In mid-June, 2007, thirty-four Nexus goers abruptly disappeared without a trace. These lucky individuals had been randomly selected to participate in a rather demented game. Stripped of their natural abilities, lowered to a baseline human's level, fitted with collars that could be remotely detonated by their captors, or set off by random 'dead zones', they were given weapons, three days' supply of food and water, and told they had a week to kill each other off. The winner would be granted a wish… if they actually managed to kill off everyone else on the island. If there were still more than one person kicking around by the end of the week, everyone would die.
Of course, this being the Nexus, things were hardly how they appeared… and things were apt to go awry.
